Softfootball understands that Manchester United are yet to make any official plans for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
According to Givemesports reporter Ben Jacobs on his X handle, Sesko remains on the radar of Manchester United, alongside other shortlists they have compiled for a potential signing ahead of the new season.

He wrote that.
“Benjamin Sesko is back on Manchester United’s radar as a No.9 option, as revealed last week. Approach made 12 months ago before Sesko decided to stay at Leipzig.
Nicolas Jackson and Ollie Watkins two other names discussed.
#MUFC still shortlisting several targets. Finding a new striker the next priority.🔴”
Sesko, 22, has been on target for Manchester United for a while. Last season, the Red Devils made a push for the Slovenian, but he chose to stay in Austria, where he recorded a double-digit goals tally.
Arsenal once targeted Sesko before the Gunners aborted the deal to stick with Vitor Gyokeres, and the deal is still dangling.
According to HandofArsenal, a supposed Gunner-focused blog on X, the proposal was cancelled due to Leipzig refusing to lower their selling price of €90 million.
He wrote:
“For the last 2 weeks Marcel Schäfer (DoF) for RB Leipzig refused to negotiate lower than €90 million.
The mission then became very clear.
Arsenal is now trying to close a deal for Viktor Gyökeres. Talks ongoing over the structure of the fee and add-ons.”
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano also stressed on his YouTube channel on Monday that Sesko’s bid is still internal within the club, with no formal approach made for the striker yet.
The Red Devils have only made three signings so far in the transfer window, with Bryan Mbeumo officially unveiled by the club last night ahead of their U.S. tour.
Meanwhile, other options are still staring for Manchester United. Recall that Softfootball earlier reported that another Manchester United target, Ollie Watkins, has been uncertain about continuing with Aston Villa next season. The Villains have been looking at alternatives.
Despite any speculations from Manchester United, sources have disclosed that Watkins would prefer any Champions League side in England compared to the Red Devils, who have nothing to offer the English player.
