Manchester City have unveiled their away jersey for the 2025/2026 season. Softfootball got a first hand look at the new jersey which is an all black strip with silver outline.

The jersey made by City kit maker, Puma looks radiant with the shinny sliver lining used for the City’s badge and other texting on it. Recall City and Puma had recently just signed a mouth watery deal that sees City earn £1bn in sum total and £100m per season.

The City – Puma deal became the highest kit making deal in the Premier League as the BBC confirmed that City’s figure surpasses the £90m deal signed by rivals Manchester United with Adidas in 2023. Liverpool will also be kitted from this season by Puma after agreeing a reported, external £60m a season.

City’s new away jersey was unveiled on their verified X handle via a video that saw a mixture of players from both men’s and women’s team.

From City’s store website, the jersey will cost fans £85 for the short sleeves while the long sleeves go for £90. According to the store site, the jersey was inspired by Manchester City’s Gorton origin.

The jersey description read:

“The Manchester City Away Jersey 2025/26 beautifully blends the club’s rich heritage with modern performance.

“Inspired by Manchester City’s origins in Gorton, the 25/26 Away Kit reimagines the club’s first-known kit from 1884 with a bold all-black design and metallic detailing that brings the past into the present.

“This jersey is a tribute to the first Cityzens. Built for comfort and performance, it features dryCELL sweat-wicking technology and breathable mesh panels on the shoulders, sides, and underarms to keep you cool and dry.

“The regular fit and short sleeves provide all-day comfort, while the official Manchester City crest and PUMA Cat logos complete the look. Timeless, minimalist and powerful, this is the new Manchester City Away Jersey.”

City’s only preseason game will come on August 9 against Serie A side Parlemo.
