Malick Thiaw had his best game in a Newcastle United shirt on Saturday evening as he powered a brace to help the Magpies to a win over Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Softfootball reports.
The Toffees defeated Manchester United 1-0 last weekend and were in high spirits going into the match against the Magpies but they were brought down to earth by Eddie Howe’s men.

It was a fantastic win for Newcastle United and they enjoyed it as they showed via their official X handle. They posted:

Newcastle United enjoyed a 2-1 victory over Manchester City last weekend and wanted to consolidate against Everton despite playing away from home and they did in fantastic fashion. Malick Thiaw scored after 55 seconds when the defender leaped the highest to meet Lewis Miley’s cross. It was the fastest goal in the premier league this season.
It became even better for the away side as Lewis Miley scored the second to make it 2-0. Newcastle continued to cruise as Anthony Elanga wriggled past a couple of defenders before laying it off for Nick Woltemade and the German made no mistake from close range as he dinked Jordan Pickford for 3-0.

Everton desperately searched for a way back into the match as Charly Alcaraz crashed his shot against the Newcastle bar after the visitors fail to clear a corner. But it was the Magpies that got another goal despite Pickford denying Harvey Barnes and Nick Woltemade with fine saves.
The England number one was unable to stop Malick Thiaw from heading his second goal of the game to make it 4-0. However, Thierno Barry thought he had reduced the deficit with his first Everton goal after netting from eight yards but it was overturned by VAR for an accidental handball.

Everton eventually got a goal through, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The former Leicester City midfielder has now scored in back-to-back matches after netting the winner against Manchester United last weekend.
The win takes Newcastle United into the 11th position on the premier league table with 18 points while Everton drop into 14th with same points but the Magpies have a better goals difference after 13 matches so far in the competition this season.
