Softfootball understands that Arne Slot’s Liverpool head to Elland Road searching for some sort of spark after winning only two of their last nine league games.
Leeds fans are still buzzing from that 3–1 win over Chelsea in midweek. And with the way Liverpool has been playing lately, the trip doesn’t feel as intimidating as it used to.

Liverpool posted a video of their player training ahead of the game via their official X account.

Liverpool couldn’t really build on their win over West Ham, and the 1–1 draw against Sunderland left more than a few supporters annoyed. They needed a lucky late equaliser to avoid defeat. Slot’s men have only two wins in nine matches now.
Leeds, on the other hand, walked into the Chelsea game in rough shape, with one win in eight, but then produced one of their best performances of the whole season out of almost nowhere.

Elland Road has slowly become a tough ground again. Daniel Farke will feel his squad can probably push a bit further away from the bottom three if they keep that same energy.
Liverpool still look a little unsure of themselves. The buildup hasn’t been flowing right, and too many attacks break down before anything dangerous even happens. With pressure quietly piling on Slot, this match feels more important than it probably should for early December.
Team News
Leeds will likely go with nearly the same squad that beat Chelsea. Daniel James is still out with a thigh issue, and Sean Longstaff isn’t expected back yet.

Liverpool hopes Conor Bradley is fit again after a muscle concern. Jeremie Frimpong and Giovanni Leoni remain sidelined, while Mohamed Salah should come back into the starting eleven.
Possible Lineups
Leeds: Perri; Rodon, Bijol, Struijk; Bogle, Stach, Tanaka, Ampadu, Gudmundsson; Calvert-Lewin, Nmecha
Liverpool: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Jones; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike
Softfootball’s Prediction
Leeds looks a lot more balanced, and Calvert-Lewin seems to be enjoying his football again. With the Elland Road crowd behind them and Liverpool still searching for rhythm, a draw honestly feels very realistic.
Prediction: Leeds 1–1 Liverpool
