Liverpool’s statement;
We will conclude our 2026-27 pre-season programme with two fixtures at Anfield, hosting AS Monaco on Sunday August 9 and Como 1907 on Sunday August 16 ⤵️

Liverpool’s clash against Monaco is scheduled for a 2:30pm BST kick-off and will mark the first meeting between the two clubs since their UEFA Champions League group-stage encounters during Liverpool’s memorable 2004/05 European Cup-winning campaign.
A week later, Serie A side Como 1907 will travel to Anfield for a 6:00pm BST kick-off in the first-ever meeting between the clubs. The fixture is expected to provide another valuable test as Liverpool fine-tune preparations ahead of the competitive season.
The two Anfield friendlies will follow Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States, where the club is already scheduled to face Sunderland on July 25, Wrexham on July 30, and Leeds United on August 2.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s preparations come amid major changes behind the scenes following the departure of Arne Slot. The Dutch manager has left the club after an end-of-season review, bringing his tenure at Anfield to a close and opening a new chapter for the Reds ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Arne Slot has written an open letter to Liverpool fans, maintaining he is leaving with complete confidence in what lies ahead.
