Softfootball can confirm Liverpool FC are closing in on a new contract agreement with Ibrahima Konaté, with negotiations now at an advanced stage and nearing completion.
At the same time, negotiations with Dominik Szoboszlai are still ongoing. The Hungarian midfielder recently admitted there has been little concrete progress so far, despite ongoing dialogue between his representatives and the club.
According to Fabrizio Romano on his x handle, talks between both parties have progressed significantly in recent weeks, with the deal moving into its final stages.

Romano posted:
Liverpool remain confident to complete new deal agreement with Konaté soon as talks are very advanced. Negotiations with Dominik Szoboszlai are still ongoing at this stage, deal on.
Liverpool remain confident an agreement will be reached soon as discussions continue positively.
The update comes shortly after Liverpool’s dramatic 2–1 Merseyside Derby victory over Everton FC, where Virgil van Dijk scored a stoppage-time winner following an earlier goal from Mohamed Salah.

While Konaté’s extension appears close, Szoboszlai’s situation remains unresolved, leaving Liverpool managing multiple key contract talks as they prepare for a crucial summer.
