Liverpool produced an entertaining attacking display to beat LASK 6-3 at the Raiffeisen Arena, with Bradley Barcola scoring three goals and Jeremie Frimpong adding a goal and two assists.
Ronald Araújo opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, converting Kostas Tsimikas’ corner before Barcola struck twice in the 24th and 37th minutes. Frimpong extended Liverpool’s advantage after the break, while Barcola completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute. Lewis Koumas also got on the scoresheet to cap an impressive performance from the visitors.

LASK refused to give up, with Robert Ljubičić pulling one back in the 63rd minute before Koumas restored Liverpool’s four-goal cushion. Florian Flecker then scored twice in the closing stages to make the scoreline more respectable.
Softfootball noticed that Liverpool’s attacking strength made the difference, although their defensive lapses allowed LASK to score three goals.
The result also offers a different picture from Liverpool’s recent setback against Manchester City, who secured a 3-0 victory over the Reds after they were reduced to 10 men at Anfield. Liverpool will be pleased with their attacking response but must improve defensively.
