Robert Lewandowski has revealed that he will take around three months to decide his long-term future at FC Barcelona, with the Polish striker emphasizing that family comfort and personal happiness will play a major role in any decision regarding his contract. Softfootball reports.

As shared by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his official X handle, the 37-year-old forward, whose current deal with Barcelona expires in the summer of 2026, made it clear that he is not under pressure to rush into a decision. Instead, he plans to carefully evaluate his situation over the coming months before determining whether to extend his stay at the Catalan club.

His comments came shortly after he made a remarkably quick recovery from a fractured eye socket sustained during Barcelona’s 4–1 victory over Villarreal CF on February 28. The injury forced him to miss the Copa del Rey semi-final clash against Atlético Madrid, but medical assessments confirmed his swift recovery.

Lewandowski’s relaxed approach reflects a shift in mindset at this stage of his career. Unlike earlier years when career moves often involved quick decisions and intense negotiations, the veteran striker now prioritizes enjoyment, stability, and the comfort of his family as key factors in planning the final phase of his professional journey.

Barcelona are reportedly considering offering Lewandowski a one-year contract extension, which would keep the experienced striker at the club beyond the 2025–26 season. Club officials remain pleased with his consistent performances, particularly his continued ability to deliver goals in the highly competitive La Liga.

Despite approaching the later years of his career, Lewandowski has maintained impressive scoring form, registering more than 20 league goals this season and continuing to serve as Barcelona’s primary attacking reference point.

Lewandowski has since returned to the squad and is expected to feature wearing a protective mask as Barcelona continue their push in both domestic and European competitions.
