Speaking after the match via Barcelona’s official X handle, Lewandowski reflected on the challenges his side faced during the encounter. The Polish striker said:
You know, in the first half we conceded two goals after the ABP and I think it can happen, but of course it’s unlucky sometimes. At the end you score four goals so that wasn’t easy for us to adapt to this temperature which was very cold and the pitch also didn’t go perfectly.
Lewandowski highlighted the importance of perseverance and mentality, especially in demanding Champions League away fixtures. He added:
In the end though we have to fight until 90 minutes and try to win the game, score goals because also in the end they are very important for the Champions League. So we did what we wanted and now we can come back to Barcelona prepared for the next games.
