Robert Lewandowski has made UEFA Champions League history once again after becoming the player to score against the most different teams in the competition, Softfootball reports.
The FC Barcelona striker reached a new milestone by netting against his 41st different opponent, surpassing the previous record held by Lionel Messi.
The Polish forward’s record-breaking performance comes shortly after recovering from a left eye socket fracture he sustained during Barcelona’s 4–1 La Liga victory over Villarreal CF. Having now returned to full fitness, Lewandowski is also available for Barcelona’s upcoming league clash with Athletic Club.
Lewandowski achieved the feat during Barcelona’s dominant 7–2 victory over Newcastle United, sealing an emphatic 8–3 aggregate win in the process. This has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via his x handle,

Meanwhile, Barcelona continue to build for the future off the pitch, with head coach Hansi Flick set to extend his contract until June 2028. Club president Joan Laporta has confirmed that an agreement is already in place, with an official announcement expected soon.
Lewandowski’s latest achievement further cements his legacy as one of the competition’s greatest-ever strikers.
