Competition could emerge for Schlager’s signature as clubs like Celtic have also been linked with monitoring the Austrian international’s contract situation.

Elsewhere, Juventus also explored a potential reunion with Federico Chiesa earlier this year. The winger, currently at Liverpool , was reportedly open to returning to Turin to boost his chances ahead of the 2026 World Cup, but negotiations stalled due to Liverpool’s financial demands and deal structure.

Meanwhile, the club secured stability in midfield after Weston McKennie committed his future to Juventus with a new contract running until June 2030, reinforcing his importance in the squad under Luciano Spalletti.

Softfootball reports that Juventus are continuing to study several midfield reinforcements while monitoring the free-agent market as the summer window approaches.
