Manchester United may be handed an unexpected lifeline in their bid to offload Jadon Sancho this summer, with Juventus reportedly open to a swap deal involving Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic. Discussions are said to be ongoing between intermediaries as both clubs weigh their options.
Sancho’s future at Old Trafford has been in doubt for months, and his loan spell at Chelsea—though ending with a goal in their Europa Conference League final victory—did little to revive his standing. Chelsea even opted to pay a penalty fee to avoid making the deal permanent.
Juventus have reportedly maintained interest in Sancho for over a year, and fresh talks have reignited the possibility of a move to Turin. The England international is open to taking a pay cut to make the deal happen, reportedly viewing Juventus as a prestigious destination to relaunch his faltering career.

Though Napoli are also monitoring the winger closely and are said to have reached a verbal agreement, Juventus are not backing down. The Serie A giants may even consider using Vlahovic as leverage in any proposed exchange, with the striker entering the final 12 months of his deal.
Vlahovic, who has scored 57 goals in 144 games for Juventus since his £60m move from Fiorentina in 2022, has not shown much interest in leaving Italy. However, clubs from Turkey and Saudi Arabia are watching the situation closely, especially if a Premier League move fails to materialise.
United have also previously shown interest in Juve midfielder Douglas Luiz, and while the Brazilian stayed in Turin through the end of the 2024–25 campaign, he too could emerge as part of negotiations between the two clubs.
As Juventus look to rebuild their squad and United seek a solution to their Sancho dilemma, a blockbuster player swap could be on the cards—one that may benefit both sides if the timing and terms align.
