Dominik Szoboszlai has once again found himself at the centre of contract discussions at Liverpool, with questions emerging over his long-term future at Anfield. Despite the uncertainty, the Hungarian midfielder remains fully focused on his football and continues to play a key role under new head coach Arne Slot, Softfootball reports.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Szoboszlai said:

New deal talks? From now on it is not in my hands. There is no progression but if the right offer comes then let’s see. Hopefully everyone will be happy at the end. I’m doing my job on the pitch. I love it here at Liverpool, I love the fans, I’m happy here.

Szoboszlai’s comments come at a time when his role in the team continues to grow under new Liverpool head coach Arne Slot.

Those qualities were on full display yesterday at Anfield, as Liverpool cruised to a convincing 4-1 victory over Newcastle. Szoboszlai delivered a standout performance despite being deployed out of position at left-back, showing remarkable discipline and creativity. His energy, composure on the ball and ability to link play drew praise from supporters, with many hailing it as one of his most impressive displays in a Liverpool shirt.

While contract talks remain unresolved, Szoboszlai’s performances continue to underline his value to the Reds. For now, both player and club appear focused on results on the pitch, with Liverpool enjoying strong momentum as they push forward under Slot’s guidance.
