Chelsea fans might want to start getting really excited about Estevão Willian. The 18-year-old Brazilian has only just started showing what he can do, but he’s already drawing huge praise from his countryman and teammate João Pedro, who also joined the Blues this summer in a £50m move from Brighton.

Estevão, who joined Chelsea this summer after spending last season back on loan at Palmeiras, has broken into both Chelsea’s first team and the Brazil squad, cementing himself as one of the brightest young talents in football. His fearless style and natural flair for the game have drawn inevitable comparisons to Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior.

According to Fabrizio Romano, via his X handle, the Chelsea striker couldn’t hide his admiration for the teenager, saying;.

João Pedro: “You can see Estevão from the streets. You can see he is natural. Tosin said to me: João, wow. Estêvão is amazing!.

Playing for Brazil and Chelsea at 18, oh my God… He’s going to be like Vinícius, told

It’s high praise coming from a fellow teammate, and it also shows how quickly the youngster Estevão has adapted to life at the highest level of football. He’s fearless on the ball, loves to take players on, and brings that entertaining game Chelsea fans have always wanted over the last few years.

At Stamford Bridge, supporters already know they’ve got a special talent on their hands. And if João Pedro is right; Estevão could well become the next Brazilian star to light up Europe.
