Harry Kane Dreams of Ballon d’Or Glory as Bayern and England Chase Big Titles

3 Min Read

Harry Kane has never been shy about his ambitions. The Bayern Munich striker openly admits that winning the Ballon d’Or is something he dreams about, though he knows it can only happen if his team wins big. He said in a recent chat:

I’d love to win the Ballon d’Or, but really, it’s a team award. The best player from the best team usually wins it.

Right now, Kane is playing some of the best football of his life. As of October 2025, he has already scored 21 goals and registered 4 assists in just 15 matches across all competitions. Bayern Munich are unbeaten this season, winning all nine league games and scoring freely. His sharp form has put him right back in the Ballon d’Or conversation, and SoftFootball recently highlighted how his red-hot performances have reignited talk of a dream year ahead.

Kane understands, though, that individual brilliance alone won’t cut it. To have a real shot at football’s biggest individual prize, he needs silverware. That’s why his eyes are firmly set on two major goals: winning the UEFA Champions League with Bayern Munich and leading England to victory at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Those are the ones that really matter; they define careers.

German legend Lothar Matthäus has also backed him, saying Kane’s mix of goals and creativity gives him a real edge. Matthäus explained:

It’s not just about scoring; he brings his teammates into the game and leads from the front.

Last year, Kane finished 13th in the Ballon d’Or rankings. The award went to Ousmane Dembélé, who led PSG to a stunning treble. Kane didn’t sulk; instead, he praised the Frenchman, saying:

They were the best side in Europe, simple as that.

Fabrizio Romano posted Harry Kane’s desire to win the Ballon d’Or on his official X account:

This season feels different. Kane looks hungrier, sharper, and more determined than ever. If Bayern can lift the Champions League and England shine at the World Cup, there’s every chance we’ll see Kane’s name etched on that golden trophy next year.
