Manchester City start off the new Premier League season, cruising to a 4-0 win over Wolves at Molineux. According to the Manchester City official website, the new arrivals “instantly added energy and creativity to Pep Guardiola’s side,” and they certainly lived up to the hype. City’s first goal came just after the half-hour mark. Rico Lewis delivered a precise cross from the left, and Haaland was in the perfect spot to tap it home at the back post.

Wolves were barely able to recover before Reijnders doubled the lead. The Dutch midfielder timed his run perfectly onto a through ball from Oscar Bobb and slotted it past the goalkeeper with his weaker left foot. The finish was “effortless and clinical”, announcing Reijnders as an instant fan favourite.
Haaland made it 3-0 before halftime; a quick one-two involving Reijnders and Bobb split open the Wolves defense, allowing the Norwegian striker to finish with his usual precision.
The new signings all stood out. Reijnders, James Trafford, and Rayan Aït-Nouri started the game, with Reijnders especially shining in midfield. Rayan Cherki, introduced in the second half, capped off the scoring with a stunning strike that left Wolves’ goalkeeper Jose Sa with no chance.
