Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that star striker Erling Haaland is fit and available for the upcoming EFL Cup final against Arsenal FC on March 22, 2026. Softfootball reports.

The update as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X account, comes as a major relief for City fans after Haaland recently dealt with a suspected groin issue during a draw against West Ham United. His availability significantly strengthens City’s chances as they aim to secure silverware in the domestic competition.

Romano shared:

Pep Guardiola: “Erling Haaland has NO injury. He will be available against Arsenal in the Cup final”.

Haaland continues to deliver extraordinary performances this season, further cementing his place among football’s elite. The Norwegian striker has now entered the top 10 all-time scorers in the UEFA Champions League, scoring 56 goals in just 57 appearances. He also holds the record as the fastest player to reach 100 goals in the competition, achieving the milestone in only 111 appearances, beating the previous record of 124 games set by Alan Shearer.

Despite ongoing transfer speculation, Haaland’s agent Rafaela Pimenta has dismissed links to Barcelona, confirming there has been no contact regarding a potential move.

Haaland’s return is especially crucial following City’s 1–5 aggregate elimination by Real Madrid CF in Europe, with his 41 goals this season making him central to their hopes of lifting the trophy.
