Alejandro Garnacho, Manchester United’s 20-year-old winger, reportedly prefers a move to Chelsea instead of Napoli, according to reports from Argentina.
Napoli previously had a bid rejected for the rising star, as United initially demanded a £70 million transfer fee. However, talks between United and Napoli on Tuesday led to a reduced valuation of €65 million (£54.8 million).
Chelsea are actively pursuing Garnacho, with the January transfer window nearing its close. The winger’s agents were spotted at Stamford Bridge on Monday during Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Wolves, further fueling speculation.
Although Chelsea have not yet submitted a formal bid, Garnacho’s preference to remain in the Premier League could work in their favor. However, the final decision depends on whether Chelsea solidify their interest in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have expressed interest in Bayern Munich’s 19-year-old winger Mathys Tel. Despite limited game time this season, Bayern remain unwilling to sell.
Another target for Chelsea is Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, a highly regarded 20-year-old winger. However, Dortmund are in a strong negotiating position, with Gittens’ contract running until 2028. Bayern Munich is also reportedly interested in Gittens, adding more competition to the mix.

On the defensive front, Manchester United are in talks to sign 20-year-old Patrick Dorgu from Lecce. Their initial offer of €30 million (£25.3 million), plus €5 million (£4.2 million) in bonuses, was rejected as Lecce aim to retain the Danish left-back until the season’s end.
Napoli have also entered discussions for Dorgu and are open to a deal that would allow him to remain on loan at Lecce until summer.
With the January transfer deadline fast approaching, clubs are racing to secure deals for top talents in a highly competitive market.
