Nottingham Forest have reportedly blocked Morgan Gibbs-White’s Spurs move as the club are considering legal action against Spurs. Softfootball were hinted that Forest have now ceased all communication with Spurs as things stand.
According to Sky Sports, Forest believe Spurs made an illegal approach after Tottenham triggered a £60m release clause as the club consult their lawyers over potential legal action and believe Morgan Gibbs-White’s proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur to be off for now.

Forest say they never granted permission for Spurs to approach Gibbs-White when they triggered the £60m release clause in his Forest contract on Thursday. Forest believe there has also been a breach in confidentiality around his release clause, because Tottenham’s bid was pitched at exactly that level.
The North Londoners have completed 5 transfers this summer with Luka Vuskovic joining from Hajduk Split, Kota Takai arriving from Kawasaki Front and Mohammed Kudus sealing a big-money deal from West Ham, while Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel have completed permanent moves after successful loan spells.
Spurs are also looking to continue to add some quality to improve Thomas Frank’s squad after the head coach joined from Brentford to succeed Ange Postecoglou. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is currently the only player Tottenham have sold this summer with the Denmark international moving to Marseille, while Fraser Forster and Sergio Reguilon left on free transfers.
