The Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has buzzed the internet again, citing that the best players will always play with him, adding that the idea of winning the Champions League every season is ridiculous.
He pointed out that Madrid have won it six times in ten years, something no club has ever achieved.

Everyone wants to come. It’s not very difficult for me either. It was more so at the beginning, but not anymore, because anyone with talent wants to come.
We shouldn’t go crazy. This idea that you can win a Champions League every year is ridiculous.
Winning six in 10 years is something no one has ever done.
While also speaking to the media, Softfootball gathers Pérez blamed the Club World Cup for the club’s poor performance this 2025/26 season, citing Madrid never had a proper pre‑season. He added that he wanted Madrid to play the Club World Cup, but not at the cost of throwing away a whole season.
