But, recently he has returned to training after making a recovery from the injury. According to Hansi Flick’s words, Fermin is ready for action but won’t start the next match immediately.

The club shared the Coach’s comment on their official X handle;

The club might choose to give him minutes as a substitute first. This step could help reconnect him to the squad’s activities.

There are a lot of experienced players and younger players who can serve in the midfield and attack, so Fermin rushing into the starting lineups would not be easy.

However, the club’s consideration on giving him some minutes in the match shows how much they value him. Lopez has been one of the most valued players since he joined the first team and Flick even mentioned that they had no interest in letting him leave the club.

Now that he is back from injury, there’s hope he can regain confidence and match fitness.
