FC Barcelona and Uber España Seal Strategic Deal to Boost Mobility and Sustainability

FC Barcelona have announced a new partnership with Uber España, a deal that links the club’s sporting identity with innovative mobility solutions. The presentation took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Spotify Camp Nou, with Pau Cubarsí—La Masia’s rising gem—serving as the face of the collaboration. Barcelona’s young core has been central to the club’s fresh identity, and Cubarsí’s story reflects that same balance of tradition and modernity.

The partnership, revealed by FC Barcelona’s general manager Manel del Río and Uber Iberia’s Felipe Fernández Aramburu, is more than a sponsorship—it’s part of a larger rebuild. As reported by SoftFootball, Barça’s recent €2 million profit shows how Joan Laporta’s financial reforms are taking shape, supported by major deals with Spotify, Midea, and now Uber.

On the pitch, Barça’s youthful energy has been obvious with recent attacking displays, including a 6–1 rout led by Fermín López against Olympiacos. The partnership therefore feels timely, as it links a modern mobility brand with a club leaning heavily on its academy and emerging stars. The Uber collaboration extends that progress by focusing on sustainable mobility and enhancing matchday travel around the new Spotify Camp Nou.

For Cubarsí, the connection is personal. Before earning his driver’s license, he often relied on Uber to reach training sessions—a detail that makes him the perfect face for this partnership. The agreement runs until 2027, with Uber becoming an Official Partner and introducing 30 fully electric CUPRA Tavascan vehicles in Barça’s colours, available through the “Electric” option in the Uber app.

This deal, posted by Barcelona on their official X account, follows Uber’s 2022 sponsorship of Ghana’s World Cup team and its 2028 LA Olympics role, suggesting a global sports marketing shift toward tech firms, challenging traditional sponsors like car manufacturers

Both Uber and Uber Eats will feature inside the stadium and support fan mobility with new pick-up zones. Manel del Río said:

We’re combining passion with practicality.

While Aramburu added:

Barça moves the city, and we want every journey to feel part of that story.
