Manchester City via their official X handle shared the result with their fans and got mixed reactions from their supporters as the game did not end as smooth as they expected. They posted:

Manchester City beat Leeds United at the Etihad in the Match-Day 13 of the Premier League but with wasn’t without headache for fans as they blew a 2-0 lead for the visitors to equalise 2-2 before eventually winning 3-2.

It was similar on Tuesday night as Manchester City raced to a 5-1 lead but Fulham made a remarkable fightback to end the game 5-4. Erling Haaland opened scoring for the Cityzens to record his 100th premier league goal from 111 matches, 13 fewer than the previous record holder Alan Shearer.

Haaland turned provider as he played in Dutch star, Tijjani Reijnders to coolly slot the ball over Bernd Leno to make it 2-0. Phil Foden made it 3-0 as Manchester City cruised but former Arsenal lad, Emile Smith Rowe reduced the deficit to 3-1.

Foden restored the Cityzens advantage with his brace for the night and Doku made it 5-1 but instead of give up, Fulham fought back with genuine believe and got three goals through Super Eagles of Nigeria duo. Alex Iwobi made it 5-2 with a shot from the edge of the box before Samuel Chukwueze added two more goals but Manchester City held on to win 5-4.

Here is the highlight of the match as shared on Manchester City’s official X handle. Watch below:

A fan with the name @ted7dy was obviously not happy with how the Cityzens are conceding goals despite scoring loads of goals themselves. He said:

We’re now a basketball club 🏀. We score, you score. I think I’m gonna do what that lad did with Manchester united. I’m not gonna cut my hair until @ManCity get 5 clean sheets in a row 😭

@AdeyemiBuk3266 added:

@okoroluckyfrid1 wants Pep Guardiola to sign new defenders for the team. He said:

Crazy night? Or crazy defense? @PepTeam you need real tough defenders, not those jokers at the back. We are 7 goals ahead of Arsenal, yet we are like 5-point behind them. Buy real defenders in the next transfer market. Attackers win you matches, but defenders win you trophies.

@Rea1Mr claims that Manchester City are not strong enough to be premier league title contenders alongside Arsenal this season. He said:

@premier league would be like Arsenal has the worst defense this season and will they manage to compete for atrophy. Look at how the defense is drinking goals like water. I wonder why this funny squad is put in the same bracket with arsenal’s squad.

@Auradawg is worried that the team he support concedes a lot of goals and that may cost them in their next UEFA Champions League match against Real Madrid. He said:

We concede so many goals, and that’s going to be costly against Madrid, not going to change too, for those reasons we have to convert every single chance we get, which we don’t do too, cuz we have a 35-40% conversion rate.

@predictorRM, this Fulham fan was more worried about his manager’s record against Pep Guardiola in competitive matches. He claims:

Fulham have lost 20 consecutive matches vs. Manchester City since 2012 (16 consecutive defeats in the Premier League). The longest losing streak by an English team against another opponent in history. Marco Silva has lost all 16 matches against Pep Guardiola.

@FrakkJason47117 gave an honest assessment of the match the way he views it. He recounted:

Four goals against City? That’s a party. Conceding five to lose 4-5, however, makes “just short” sound like a polite way of saying you gave the scorekeepers a workout. Remarkable game for everyone but your defense.

Manchester City are currently second on the premier league table and just two points against Arsenal but the Gunners have a game in hand which they play tonight against Brentford at the Emirates Stadium and a win increases the gap to five points while Fulham are 15th with 17 points after 14 matches so far this season.
