Liverpool responded strongly to their recent disappointment by securing a 3–1 comeback victory over Wolves in the FA Cup fifth round on March 6, 2026, just days after suffering a painful 2–1 league defeat to the same opponent.

The Reds showed resilience as goals from Andrew Robertson (51’), Mohamed Salah (53’), and Curtis Jones (74’) overturned the deficit to seal progression in the competition. softfootball reported that Wolves managed a late consolation through Hwang Hee-Chan in stoppage time, but the damage had already been done.
