BREAKING: Nuno Espirito Santo and Nottingham Forest part ways with immediate effect.

Decision made after tension between the parties in the recent weeks, it’s over for Nuno at #NFFC, as @Record_Portugal reports.

3 candidates including Ange Postecoglou under consideration.

As at the time of going to press, there is no official confirmation from Nottingham Forest but it is claimed that Santo imminent departure comes after his relationship with club owner Evangelos Marinakis went bad.

Interestingly, Santo replaced Steve Cooper in December 2023 and guided the club to Premier League survival in his first season in charge. Then, in his first full campaign, he led Nottingham to a seventh-place finish and they are now competing in the UEFA Europa League despite their seventh place finish.

This happened because FA Cup winners Crystal Palace were demoted by UEFA for breaking multi-club ownership rules. Reports have claimed that Forest have already identified possible replacements for Santo with the likes of former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou, Jose Mourinho and Brendan Rodgers tipped to the dugout in the East Midlands.

Postecoglou and Mourinho are currently out of work after being sacked respectively by Tottenham and Fenerbahce but Rodgers is managing at Celtic and already won three out of four SPL games this season.
