Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has declared that the Blues are a legendary and enormous club ahead of the resumption of the premier league after international break, Softfootball reports.
The Italian, who was recently given a vote of confidence by the Chelsea board was shown a red card in their last game at Stamford Bridge and it was during his side’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool courtesy a late winner by Brazilian wonderkid, Willian Estevao.

In an interview shared via Fabrizio Romano’s official X handle, the Chelsea manager explained why the Blues are enormous. He said:
Enzo Maresca: Chelsea is a legendary, enormous club. The strategy now is to proceed with long contracts, trust young players. Football business then is about results.
In this moment, results are good and we’re all very happy”, said at Festival Dello Sport.
Maresca led Chelsea to the UEFA Conference League title last season before winning the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over favourites Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the final.
Apart from winning the English Championship, the above feat remains Maresca’s biggest career success as a manager. Although, he has won the premier league as an assistant manager to Pep Guardiola, the dream for the Italian is to be premier league and Champions League winner as a manager.
But for this weekend, Maresca will focus on helping his team secure a win over Nottingham Forest as the premier league resumes after the international break but he won’t be at the dugout because of suspension.
