Emiliano Martinez’s future at Aston Villa looks uncertain as he has reportedly attracted interest from multiple clubs. After five seasons with the Premier League side, Martinez appeared emotional during the club’s lap of appreciation following their 2-0 win over Tottenham, hinting at a possible farewell.

Villa are already preparing for life after the Argentina international. The club has set its sights on Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who has a €25 million release clause, potentially rising to €30 million if he joins the Spanish national team. The 24-year-old has also drawn interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Arsenal, though Espanyol rejected Arsenal’s approach last summer.

According to TyC Sports, Martinez has received solid offers from two major European clubs and a lucrative proposal from the Saudi Pro League. Despite these opportunities, his preference is reportedly to remain in the Champions League.

Unai Emery was noncommittal when asked about the keeper’s future after the win over Spurs. He emphasized uncertainty about the squad’s makeup for next season but praised the players’ performances on the pitch.

Martinez, who joined from Arsenal in 2020 for £20 million, has become a key figure at Villa. However, the club is now said to be open to selling the 32-year-old as part of their summer plans.
