Edin Terzić is set to become the new manager of Athletic Bilbao, with a verbal agreement now in place, Softfootball understands.
According to Fabrizio Romano on his official x handle, Terzić remains the clear favourite to lead the club’s next project, with final steps expected soon if all proceeds as planned. While nothing has been formally signed yet, talks are advanced and progressing positively.

The move comes as a transition begins at the Basque club, with Ernesto Valverde a club legend set to depart at the end of the season when his contract expires, bringing an end to another spell in charge after years of service both as a player and manager.
