Ousmane Dembélé has revealed his personal top three candidates for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, with the Paris Saint-Germain forward selecting Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé.
Speaking to L’Équipe, Dembélé named the three stars he believes deserve to be among the leading contenders for football’s most prestigious individual award.
Softfootball reported that Dembélé’s choices include two of his PSG teammates, Kvaratskhelia and Mbappé, while Bayern Munich striker Kane completes his personal top three.
Dembélé has enjoyed an extraordinary period since moving to Paris, helping PSG achieve major success in Europe while establishing himself among the world’s elite attackers. His comments also come after a period in which he has been heavily involved in discussions surrounding individual honours.
The Frenchman has previously spoken positively about his decision to leave Barcelona for PSG, a move that has ultimately delivered major success on the European stage. After helping PSG secure back-to-back Champions League titles, Dembélé has made it clear that he believes leaving Spain was the right decision for his career.
His rise in Paris has also placed him firmly among the players capable of competing for the Ballon d’Or himself, although his latest comments show that he is backing other stars for the award.
Mbappé remains one of the most prominent names in the race, while Kvaratskhelia’s performances have also strengthened his case. Kane, meanwhile, continues to receive recognition for his goalscoring consistency and influence at the highest level.
