Ousmane Dembélé has addressed growing speculation over his future at Paris Saint-Germain, insisting he has no reason to leave the club despite ongoing contract discussions.

Speaking ahead of PSG’s clash with Chelsea FC on March 17, 2026, Dembélé made it clear that negotiations are not his responsibility.

Ousmane Dembélé: “There’s NO reason not to stay at PSG… but it’s not me who negotiates and makes the decisions”. “I haven’t been involved in contract negotiations since the start of my career, discussions for my contracts are between the club and my agent”.

he said, in comments confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle.

On the pitch, Softfootball understands that PSG hold a commanding 5–2 advantage from the first leg, with Dembélé among the scorers. However, he warned that the return fixture will not be straightforward, stressing that the team must remain attacking rather than defensive to secure qualification.

The French winger added that contract talks have always been handled between his agent and the club, distancing himself from speculation surrounding his deal, which runs until 2028.

Meanwhile, Chelsea head into the match under pressure after being hit with a £10.7 million fine and transfer bans for breaching financial regulations during the era of former owner Roman Abramovich. The sanctions follow a Premier League investigation into undisclosed payments made between 2011 and 2018.
