Cape Verde international Vozinha is on the verge of seeing his proposed move to Chilean giants Colo Colo collapse after the latest round of negotiations failed to produce an agreement.

Softfootball understands that the 40-year-old free agent had been in advanced discussions with Colo Colo following the club’s official offer and his subsequent counter-proposal. However, talks have now stalled, leaving the transfer in serious doubt.

The veteran goalkeeper enhanced his reputation with a series of outstanding performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, attracting interest from clubs across multiple continents despite entering the market as a free agent.

Earlier, reports suggested that Inter Miami had also entered negotiations with Vozinha, with the MLS club exploring a move after his impressive displays on football’s biggest stage. With negotiations for Vozinha now close to breaking down, Colo Colo have shifted their focus to Uruguayan goalkeeper Santiago Mele.

While the situation remains fluid, the Chilean side appears to be preparing alternative plans, with Mele now leading the race as Colo Colo look to resolve one of their priority positions before the transfer window closes.
