Chelsea are eyeing a summer move for West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus as they ramp up efforts to strengthen their squad. The club is actively seeking new attacking talent, especially after deciding to return Jadon Sancho to Manchester United, which reportedly cost Chelsea a £5 million fee.

Kudus has emerged as a serious option. Signed by West Ham from Ajax for £38 million in 2023, the midfielder has proven his worth with 19 goals and 13 assists across 80 appearances. His ability to play in various attacking roles makes him a valuable asset.

The 23-year-old has a release clause of £85 million, specifically applicable to Premier League clubs, which becomes active during the first ten days of July. Chelsea are reportedly monitoring this closely as they weigh their options.

In parallel, Chelsea are also pursuing Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, whose €60 million (£50.9 million) clause became valid after the club secured Champions League football for next season.

The transfer activity doesn’t stop there. Chelsea are also finalizing a deal to bring in Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap for £30 million, aiming to strengthen their forward line with youth and energy.

Additionally, talks are underway with AC Milan regarding goalkeeper Mike Maignan. With just one year left on his contract, the Italian side are open to selling the France international for around €30 million (£25 million).

As the transfer window opens, Chelsea appear focused on building a younger, more dynamic squad under new manager Enzo Maresca, with multiple deals already in motion.
