Jackson has been sent off twice in his last four matches, most notably receiving a straight red card just minutes after coming on against Flamengo at the Club World Cup. These incidents, coupled with mixed performances since his arrival from Villarreal, have reportedly led Chelsea’s hierarchy to consider his potential departure this summer.

According to reports from L’Equipe, Chelsea have initiated talks with PSG regarding Kolo Muani. The French international impressed during a loan spell at Juventus, scoring 10 goals in 20 appearances, and is currently with them at the Club World Cup. PSG signed him in 2023 for £77 million and would likely expect a sizable fee if they were to part ways.

Chelsea, however, are not looking to match that full valuation and would prefer a more financially flexible arrangement. Meanwhile, Juventus and Napoli have both shown interest in Jackson if Chelsea decide to let him go.

Despite the controversies, Jackson has produced 30 goals and 12 assists in 80 matches for the Blues, keeping some of the fanbase on his side. But with Liam Delap emerging and Chelsea looking for a more reliable presence up front, Maresca may find it easier to promote change in the attacking lineup.

Chelsea initially paid £32 million to secure Jackson’s services from Villarreal. If they receive an offer close to that figure this summer, an exit could be on the cards, opening the door for Kolo Muani’s arrival in West London.
