Softfootball can confirm Chelsea have reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign forward Melvine Malard in a deal worth an initial £850,000, with performance-related add-ons taking the total package to just under £1 million.
The transfer represents a club-record sale for Manchester United Women, marking a significant piece of business for the Reds during the summer transfer window.
Malard is set to strengthen Chelsea’s attacking options as the Blues continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.
