On the other hand, congratulations to Real Madrid, a team that continues to demonstrate its dominance in the Champions League over the years. Once again, they showed why they are regarded as the kings of Europe, defeating Manchester City 2:1 in the second leg after a 3:0 first-leg victory.
Softfootball was not entirely surprised by these results. While more was expected from Manchester City, they failed to secure even a win at home at the Etihad. Chelsea’s result was also not surprising, given PSG’s superiority, especially against Chelsea’s defensive struggles.
Many expected Sporting CP to deliver at home after their first-leg defeat, and they showed their class, with Bodø/Glimt playing into their hands. As for Arsenal, their victory over Bayer Leverkusen was widely anticipated based on their current form.
