Aston Villa’s official X handle celebrated the win which came against a very difficult side.

Tottenham Hotspur took the lead early in the first half when Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha combined to feed Rodrigo Bentancur and he made no mistake with his finish for his first goal for Spurs in 2025.

Before the end of the first half, England international Rogers equalised for Unai Emery’s side to make it 1-1. The match was perfectly setup for an attacking second half as both sides chase the win.

Buendia came on as a substitute to decide the game in the 77th minute when he picked up the ball from outside the box, cut in beautifully before releasing a shot past Guglielmo Vicario in goal for Spurs to make it 2-1 for the away side.

The win takes Aston Villa to 11th with 12 points while Tottenham Hotspur sit sixth with 14 points.
