Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs Benfica in Club World Cup clash

Bayern Munich players rejoicing

Bayern Munich are set to field a full-strength team when they take on Benfica in their final Club World Cup group-stage clash on Tuesday. With top spot in the group at stake, Vincent Kompany is unlikely to rotate heavily.

New arrival Jonathan Tah is tipped to continue at centre-back alongside Josip Stanisic. Injuries continue to limit Bayern’s defensive options, with Alphonso Davies sidelined until December. Raphael Guerreiro is likely to retain his place at left-back, while Konrad Laimer is expected to fill in again at right-back. Manuel Neuer remains a guaranteed starter between the posts.

In midfield, Joshua Kimmich’s composure and distribution should see him line up alongside Leon Goretzka, offering stability behind attacking playmaker Jamal Musiala. Kompany’s side is expected to stick with a 4-2-3-1 shape that allows creative players to thrive.

Thomas Muller will miss the encounter due to an injury picked up against Boca Juniors, which opens the door for more minutes from summer signing Michael Olise. The Frenchman has been one of Bayern’s standout performers in the competition so far and will likely operate on the right flank.

On the opposite side, Kingsley Coman should retain his role, providing width and pace down the left. Up front, Harry Kane is once again expected to lead the line as Bayern aim to finish the group stage strongly.

Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Benfica:
Neuer; Laimer, Tah, Stanisic, Guerreiro; Kimmich, Goretzka; Olise, Musiala, Coman; Kane.
