Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson on loan this summer putting an end to his lengthy transfer saga.
Softfootball understands that Bayern will pay a £13m loan fee for the 24-year-old forward and will have an option to make Jackson’s move permanent for £69m, and the 24-year-old is now set to fly to Germany with his agent to finalise the move ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

The Senegalese forward has faced increased competition at Chelsea following the arrivals of João Pedro from Brighton and Liam Delap from Ipswich Town earlier this summer.
Jackson dropped down Enzo Maresca’s pecking order following the two striker arrivals and was not even on the bench for Chelsea’s first two games of the Premier League season.
That competition has prompted both Jackson and his teammate Christopher Nkunku to seek exits, with Nkunku closing in on a switch to Serie A side AC Milan.
Now, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano via his X account, Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Chelsea for an initial loan deal involving Nicolas Jackson. The forward is expected to travel to Bavaria with his agent to undergo medical tests before completing the move. The post reads:
“EXCL: Nicolas Jackson to Bayern, here we go! Deal agreed with Chelsea on initial loan move.
€15m loan fee for one season plus buy option clause not mandatory for €80m package and sell-on clause.
Jackson, set to fly to Bavaria with his agent Ali Barat from Epic Sports.”
Newcastle United and Aston Villa had been among the clubs linked with Jackson ahead of the transfer deadline, but Bayern appear to have won the race.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are continuing to reshape their forward department as part of a major summer overhaul under Enzo Maresca, with Alejandro Garnacho expected to sign before Monday’s deadline.
