Barcelona’s home form in the 2025/26 season has been highly impressive, with their only setback coming in a 2:1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, a match that was not played at Camp Nou.

The club has been using the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (Montjuïc Stadium) as a temporary home since August 2023, due to the €1.45 billion redevelopment of the Spotify Camp Nou under the Espai Barça project.

Barcelona are now in a phased return to their historic stadium. As of March 10, 2026, the club received an occupancy licence for Phase 1C of the renovation. The team officially returned to a partially reopened Spotify Camp Nou on 22 November 2025, with an initial capacity of around 45,000, which continues to increase as construction progresses.
Since returning, Barcelona have been flawless at home. Softfootball observes that the team is gradually building a fortress, supported by strong fan backing and consistent performances on the pitch.
The playing conditions have also worked in Barcelona’s favour. The large pitch and high pressing system make it difficult for opposition teams to build play or break defensive lines, allowing Barcelona to dominate possession and control matches effectively.

The redevelopment project, led by club president Joan Laporta, has significantly enhanced the stadium environment. Although construction is still ongoing, with roughly 70% completed, the improvements are already evident.
Once fully completed, the new Camp Nou is expected to become an even more formidable venue for visiting teams.
