Barcelona finally got some good news after recent reports from Softfootball revealed that Ferran Torres had joined Dani Olmo on the injury table, as both Lamine Yamal and Fermín López returned to full training at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The pair joined group sessions again after shaking off their injuries, giving Hansi Flick a bit of breathing space in what has been a pretty rough few weeks for the team.
Yamal, who had been out since re-aggravating a pubis issue during the 1–2 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on October 1, missed the following league clash against Sevilla. His comeback, as expected by Barcelona when they announced the development via the team official website, could really change things for Barça’s attack, which has looked a bit flat lately.

Fermín López also completed his recovery after a muscle problem that kept him out since the Getafe game on September 27. The midfielder has now rejoined the full group and is expected to be ready for the next La Liga match against Girona on October 18th. Barcelona uploaded a video of both players attending training with their teammates via the team’s official X account.

The timing couldn’t be better. Barcelona have lost back-to-back matches—4–1 to Sevilla and a tough Champions League night in Paris and injuries to Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres only made things worse. So, having Yamal and Fermín back adds some spark and options for Flick, who’s been short on creativity and energy.

With many first-team regulars still away on international duty, Flick called up a few Barça Atlètic youngsters, like Guillem Víctor and Jofre Torrents, to fill out the session. But the return of Yamal and Fermín might just steady things again before the huge El Clásico clash with Real Madrid on October 26.
