Softfootball can confirm Barcelona have received a major boost with João Cancelo avoiding a serious injury following their 1–0 win over Celta Vigo.

The Portugal international was forced off in the first half at Camp Nou after appearing to suffer a knee issue, with Alejandro Balde coming on as his replacement.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano via a post on his Official X handle, the injury is not serious, and Cancelo is expected to return soon.

Romano stated:

No serious injury for João Cancelo, expected to be back soon.

In a positive sign, Cancelo trained normally the following day and is now in line to be available for Barcelona’s next match on Saturday.
