Barcelona marked their first home game of the season in style, sweeping aside Valencia with a resounding 6-0 victory in front of their home fans with three players netting twice in a goal-scoring carnival leaving supporters ecstatic over their dominant performance.
Following a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano before the international break, the match was held at a venue other than Camp Nou as the club continues to experience delays in completing stadium renovations.
The victory propelled the Catalans to second in LaLiga on 10 points, two points behind leaders Real Madrid, who have a perfect start with four wins from four matches. Fermin Lopez, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski all notched doubles.

Despite coach Hansi Flick making sweeping changes to his starting eleven after the international break, and with one eye on Thursday’s Champions League debut at Newcastle, Barcelona flew out of the blocks.
Lopez opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a strike from inside the box assisted by Ferran Torres but it was after the break that Barca unleashed their fury.
Raphinha made an immediate impact off the bench in the 58th minute, launching himself to convert a cross from Marcus Rashford with a right-footed volley while Lopez doubled his tally three minutes later with a strike from long-range, before Raphinha completed his double in the 66th minute.

Lewandowski, introduced in the 68th minute, wasted little time adding his name to the scoresheet, wrapping up the rout with two close-range strikes to complete a perfect afternoon for the Catalan giants.
Softfootball has garnered reactions from Barca fans on X, with many eager for the La Liga giants to take on Newcastle next in the Champions League. Here’s a look at what some supporters had to say:

@abazwhyllzz think Barcelona is the best team in the world as he misses Yamal during the encounter:
We are the best team in the world I miss yamal he would have contributed like 4 goals tonight.

@Spigg1115 wrote: Good game. The first really good game of the season. Complete. Valencia were very weak, but we had to win in style.
We scored a lot, which helps with goal difference. Lewa and Rapha are getting stronger, Rashford too, Fermin is on fire, and above all, Casado was outstanding tonight. VERY good tonight. also good to see Bernal again, with a decisive pass in 10 minutes of play, which was great. to confirm next week. Visca Barça.
@philipenyinnaya commented: Well played boys. I love the hunger Fermin brings to the game. Benching Raphinha made him more hungry. This is the kinda motivation we need going into the champions league.

@FinalThirdTales commented: Having three players score a brace in the same match is insane. Fermin, Raphinha and Lewandowski were all good in this Barcelona win.
@__fuhrer__ wrote: I need such a scoreline against madrid at the bernabeu. Humiliate them and demoralize them into another trophyless season. Cheers.
@greyfortune2 wrote: Barcelona played impressively today, and that Rashford assist was explosive. The squad is playing good football and we love it.
@nigs_FCB commented: Absolute dominance I want just half of the goals against Newcastle with a Garcia clean sheet.
@FNyamekye wrote: This is the team every sane-minded person should support and not Manchester United.
@FinalThirdTales wrote: Beautiful scenes. I think Barcelona will still beat Real Madrid for the La Liga this season.
Despite being without Lamine Yamal through injury it was Barca domination from start to finish, as the visitors could boast barely an attack.
The commanding victory lifted Barcelona to second place in La Liga with 10 points, keeping them close behind leaders Real Madrid, as they prepare to kick off their Champions League journey with an away match against Newcastle United scheduled for mid-September.
