The Swedish striker has quickly adapted to life in North London, delivering strong performances and showing the work ethic that fits perfectly into Arteta’s system.

The manager praised Gyökeres’ contribution, highlighting his movement, pressing, and finishing as key assets for the team.

Speaking at his press conference as seen on the club’s offiical X handle, Arteta underlined his close working relationship with club co-chairs Stan and Josh Kroenke, whose sporting influence extends beyond football.

He said:

It’s very important because we share the vision and especially their ambition. The ambition is very clear. We are here to win major trophies. Every conversation and every sign from Stan and Josh is about that. They’re incredibly experienced in sport, and they’ve won almost everything. What we want to do is to be here now, competing at that same level

Arteta also spoke about his admiration for LA Rams head coach Sean McVay, whom he knows personally. The Arsenal boss believes football can learn a lot from the methods used in American sports.

Sean is someone I admire a lot — not only for what he’s achieved but also for how he carries himself as a coach and a person. This weekend is a great opportunity to connect everyone and share ideas

Arteta explained how observing McVay’s daily routines has given him valuable insights into leadership and structure.

“I’ve seen how Sean runs a day — he has 74 players and holds around 10 meetings before training. Players take notes for hours; it’s all about education and culture. They maximize every detail. Football can still learn so much from that approach

Arteta’s comments reflect a manager fully aligned with Arsenal’s long-term goals and eager to evolve by learning from other elite sports.
