Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Martin Zubimendi and Piero Hincapié suffered injuries during a training session following the Gunners’ recent match, raising fresh concerns over the club’s squad depth.

Speaking about the situation, Arteta revealed that the injuries occurred in separate incidents, describing them as particularly unfortunate for the team.

The Arsenal boss now faces the task of assessing the available options as the club prepares for its upcoming fixtures. Zubimendi has been an important presence in midfield, while Hincapié offers defensive versatility, making their fitness significant to Arteta’s plans.

The timing of the setbacks could also influence Arsenal’s preparations during a demanding period of the season. The club will hope that both players recover quickly, although their potential return dates will depend on the severity of their respective injuries and the results of further assessments.

Meanwhile, another injury concern has emerged involving Christos Tzolis, with a separate report stating that the player is expected to miss several weeks. The situation adds to the growing attention surrounding player fitness and recovery as clubs navigate a busy football calendar.

However, Tzolis’ injury is a separate development and should not be confused with the setbacks affecting Zubimendi and Hincapié.

For Arsenal, the immediate priority will be determining the extent of the two injuries and whether either player will be available for the next match. Arteta will be hoping the setbacks prove manageable as his side looks to maintain its momentum in the Premier League.
