Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell Oleksandr Zinchenko to AC Milan this summer, setting a £17 million valuation as the Italian side prepares for life after Theo Hernandez. Zinchenko has been a key figure since his arrival from Manchester City in 2022, bringing versatility and leadership to Mikel Arteta’s squad. However, the rise of academy product Myles Lewis-Skelly and the recent signing of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna have pushed the Ukrainian down the pecking order.
With just one year left on his current deal, Arsenal are looking to avoid losing him for free next year. Milan’s interest has intensified, with sporting director Igli Tare engaging with intermediaries managing Zinchenko’s situation.
Reports in Italy suggest that Milan could complete the deal if they meet Arsenal’s £17m asking price. However, Zinchenko’s salary expectations are proving a stumbling block in the negotiations. The 28-year-old is reportedly open to the move and views it as a chance to regain regular first-team action. His willingness to leave Arsenal appears linked to his lack of guaranteed minutes, especially with Euro 2028 qualifiers and domestic form in mind.

Milan are also considering alternatives like Club Brugge’s Maxim De Cuyper if a move for Zinchenko falls through. Yet Zinchenko’s experience and versatility make him a prime candidate to step in for Hernandez, who is expected to join Al Hilal.
Despite being sidelined for key matches, Zinchenko has maintained a positive outlook. In March, he admitted uncertainty over his future but reaffirmed his happiness at Arsenal and readiness to contribute in any role—even from the stands. Zinchenko’s passion for the club and his teammates is clear, but with Milan circling and Arsenal open to offers, a summer exit looks increasingly likely unless a late change of plans occurs.
