Congratulations to Arsenal after their latest victory over Chelsea, their third win in four meetings during the 2025/26 season.

Softfootball believes that although Arsenal did not play their most fluent football, they did exactly what was required to stay in the EPL title contest. In modern football, results matter more than style, and Arsenal delivered when it counted.
Many Manchester City supporters had hoped Chelsea could halt the Gunners’ momentum, but Arsenal stood firm. The match was largely decided by set pieces, with Arsenal scoring through dead-ball situations. Chelsea’s goal also came from a set-piece moment, resulting in an own goal by Piero Hincapié.

In the second half, after Pedro Neto was sent off, Chelsea pushed Arsenal back and even had a goal ruled out for offside. However, David Raya made crucial saves, including denying Alejandro Garnacho, keeping Arsenal ahead.
Declan Rice also delivered a strong midfield performance in a tightly contested encounter. The game may have been close, but Arsenal managed it better — and in a title race, that composure can make all the difference.
