Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is attracting strong interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, with the two North London rivals preparing for a transfer battle that could reach £68 million. The 26-year-old attacker, whose contract runs for another two seasons, has a release clause that Palace are reportedly open to receiving in three separate instalments, making the deal more accessible for top suitors.

Arsenal, while nearing defensive signings in Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Martin Zubimendi, have intensified their search for attacking reinforcements. The Gunners recently missed out on Nico Williams to Barcelona, pushing them to shift focus to Eze, who has steadily risen to prominence since his 2020 move from QPR to Selhurst Park.

Eze’s 2024–25 campaign saw him reach new heights, tallying 14 goals and 11 assists while helping Palace lift the FA Cup with a decisive final goal against Manchester City. Across all competitions, he has now accumulated 40 goals and 28 assists in 167 appearances for the Eagles, solidifying his status as one of the league’s top creative midfielders.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are confident they can persuade Eze to join them if they move swiftly and match the release clause. They reportedly believe the England international is receptive to the idea, which could force Arsenal to act quickly to avoid losing another target.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta values Premier League experience and views Eze as a versatile option, capable of operating on the left wing or in the number 10 role. The club is actively exploring multiple options, however, and remains in pursuit of Real Madrid’s Rodrygo as an alternative.

The Brazilian forward has a £76.7 million price tag and was left out of Real Madrid’s final Club World Cup match, sparking speculation about his future. With crunch talks expected between Rodrygo and new manager Xabi Alonso, Arsenal are keeping tabs as they look to strengthen their forward line.

Currently, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard share left-wing duties at the Emirates, but Arsenal may look to move one of them on to make room for a new addition. Regardless of which direction they choose, the chase for Eze has intensified, and with Tottenham firmly in the race, a summer showdown appears inevitable.
