Genk stars Tolu Arokodare and Noah Adedeji joined their teammates in spreading festive joy by taking part in the club’s annual Christmas community outreach programme.
The players partnered with charitable organization Vincentius to prepare and distribute fresh meals to families in need, reinforcing Genk’s commitment to supporting the local community during the holiday season.
Softfootball understands the event also gave Arokodare the opportunity to reflect on the importance of his Christian faith and the role it continues to play in both his personal life and football career.
Speaking during the initiative, the Nigerian striker said:
Praying relaxes me, inspires me, gives me confidence and the feeling that I am protected. I do it in the morning, in the evening and before every game.
Arokodare explained that his prayers extend beyond his own success on the pitch, emphasizing the wellbeing of everyone involved in a match.
I also always ask for protection for all the players and all the supporters of both teams. I pray for their safety,
he added.
