Ansu Fati joins Pogba at AS Monaco in season-long loan deal

Barcelona forward Ansu Fati is on the move once again, sealing a loan deal with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco for the 2025/26 season.

The French outfit confirmed the signing of the 22-year-old Spaniard on a season-long loan, with an option to make the deal permanent.

According to ESPN, Monaco inserted an €11 million buy clause, dependent on Fati’s performances during his spell at the Stade Louis II.

Despite penning a contract extension with Barcelona that runs until 2028, Fati will now continue his development in France, aiming to rediscover the form that once made him one of Europe’s brightest young talents.

This marks Fati’s second loan away from the Camp Nou, following his 2023 stint with Premier League side Brighton, where he made 27 appearances.

His arrival is part of a busy summer for Monaco, who are reinforcing their squad ahead of the new campaign. As earlier reported by Softfootball, Paul Pogba seals a move to Monaco

Ansu Fati has played 123 games for Barcelona, scoring 29 times for the Catalan giants. The big question now is whether Fati’s move will finally offer the stability he needs or if it’s yet another chapter in his search for greener pastures.
