Dutch giants, Ajax have reached agreement with Takehiro Tomiyasu on free transfer, Softfootball reports.
The defender was released by Arsenal after four years as his injuries prevented him from having more matches for the Gunners. Tomiyasu became a fan favourite for the North London club after he joined the club from Bologna.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Ajax has looked for a replacement for Jorrel Hato and feels the Japanese fits perfectly for his experience and utility abilities. He wrote:
Takehiro Tomiyasu to Ajax, here we go! Verbal agreement reached on a contract valid until June 2026. Short term deal in place, medical set to happen on Tuesday — if all good, the Japanese defender will put pen to paper. New chapter after leaving Arsenal as free agent.
Just last week, Softfootball reported that Ajax were close to signing Takehiro Tomiyasu and now the story has been confirmed.

Tomiyasu joined Arsenal in 2021 from Serie A side Bologna and after a fantastic start to his career at the Emirates, winning a couple of Man-of-the-Match awards and scored a few goals. Injuries later slowed him down and Arsenal had to let him go just before the start of this season.
Tomiyasuis joining Ajax as a free agent and expected to provide the much needed experience at the back for the Dutch giants.
